Trent Navigation Company tug 'Little John' pulling boats on the canal
Description
Black and white photograph showing the tug [built in Glasgow by Yarrow & Company, designed to operate in shallow water so was propelled by twin screws working in tunnels] with a train of barges behind it, the barges have masts on them. There are men on the boats and beside the canal.
