Black and white photograph taken from above the river, the Severn Carrying Company Limited steam tug 'Severn Victor' can be seen in the distance, followed by the lighter which is loaded with wood, and 2 lines of Severn Carrying Company Limited narrowboats, including 'Stroud' and 'Hampstall'. There are boat people visible on the narrowboats including the boatman Lionel Tonks who is at the stern of the boat nearest the camera. [Boats possibly travelling from Gloucester to Worcester].
