Daily accounts of the first trip on the new 'Lilian Maud' from Derby to Stanstead Lock on the River Lee in August and September 1968, a holiday on the River Lee in April 1969 and a trip on the River Lee, Hertford Union Canal, Grand Union Canal and River Nene in July and August 1969. Includes various items from and about places on the trip, for example postcards and also various information about the new 'Lilian Maud', for example receipts and vessel specifications. There are also miscellaneous newspaper cuttings documenting the first moon landing in July 1969. Contains 4 sketches, 19 watercolour paintings and 1 crayon drawing.
