Description

Drawn from actual survey by George Leather junior, Bradford in 1814. This plan has additional later annotations with a memorandum stating when the canal was closed for repairs and reopened for traffic, dated 1859, and recording the cost of repairs, wages and materials. Stamped "North Eastern R[ail]w[a]y Engineers Office, Yorkshire, ref. no. S90 S4/1".
