"Canal Stoppage, Braunston, Whitsun 1922"
Description
Black and white photograph taken by T W Millner showing numerous boats during the stoppage on the Grand Junction Canal at Braunston. Boats shown include a "Samuel Barlow Coal Carriers" narrowboat ("Glascote No 12"), several unidentified working narrowboats which are lined up on the canal and stretch into the distance, an ice boat and a pump boat. There are boat people and horses beside the canal. "Canal Stoppage, Braunston, Whitsun 1922" is written at the bottom of the photograph.
