Description
Black and white photograph of a group of women trainees posing for the photograph on the Grand Union Canal Carrying Company Limited narrowboat 'Ascot'. The women are sat on and stood by the cabin (where number "104" is visible) and are, from left to right; Sonia South, Daphne French, Audrey Harper (partly obscured), Evelyn Hunt, Ann Blake, the Zoe and Bythesea Broughton Leigh (sisters), Elizabeth Glaisyer, Emma Smith, and Mary Vanderppump.
August 2021 - information received suggests that it is Daphne French who is partially obscured. (Sub.71652)
