Cross sections of various canals
Description
Cross sections include the navigation from the River Mersey at Liverpool to the River Thames at Limehouse (via Birmingham), the navigation of the River Severn at Bristol to the River Thames at London Bridge (via Devises), the inland navigation between Liverpool, Goole and Hull and the Caledonian canal. There is also a cross section of the proposed English and Bristol channel ship canal. The canal sections were produced to accompany Nichols & Co.'s new Map of the Inland Navigation of Great Britain.
